When Koenigsegg decide to make a car, they don’t just make slight changes and call it a new model like Pagani.
Known as the world’s first “mega car”, meaning it generates one megawatt of power (a megawatt is 1341 horsepower), the Koenigsegg One:1 is set to break all kinds of records.
The One:1 got its name from the one-to-one power to weight ratio that it generates, 1360kg to 1360 horsepower.
With a top speed of 273 miles per hour, the new Koenigsegg One:1 will be the world’s fastest production car, beating out the Hennessey Venom GT.
And if you think that it will just go fast in a straight line and be a disaster in the corners, think again, as the Koenigsegg One:1 will produce an astonishing lateral 2G’s at 160mph.
The powerplant is nothing short of awesome as it has a 5.0 liter twin-turbo V8 putting down all 1340 horses to the rear wheels.
Sadly, only six Koenigsegg One:1′s will ever be built, so getting your hands on one will prove to be a challenge. At leastthe top 1% in the world will get to enjoy this beast, but likely it will just end up in someone’s amazing garage as a trophy.
With a price tag of over $2 million, the Koenigsegg One:1 will go down in history as one of the greatest feast of automotive engineering from the Swedish automaker.
