Our car of the day is this modified Chevy Camaro Coupe ZL1. Named Project Freedom Fighter this awesome Chevy was created as a tribute to the wounded soldiers that fought for America. But this Chevy Camaro Coupe is not just for show it was built to generate foundation for Wounded Warriors.
As a former Staff Sergeant with the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army, Kelly Fromm knows all-too well the risks our military face. On Christmas day in 2007, Fromm’s good friend Sergeant Joseph Tutten was killed in Iraq, leading the then retired Fromm to pay tribute to his lost comrade by creating this patriotic-themed Chevy Camaro coupe ZL1.
The “Freedom Fighter” kicks out an outrageous 850 horses, it took over 2000 man hours to build and under $150K of investment. According to Kelly said “Its no trailer queen either”, he drag races the car as well. Despite the custom airbrush paint job, kelly says “I do drive it like I stole it.”
