Do you plan on travelling across the world this summer, or spending time a little closer to home? There is a place that should be on everyone’s wish list. It is a destination that I used to visit in my childhood and I recently had the pleasure of returning there for an interview. Immediately I was swept up in the romance and wonder of Cornwall.
Even as you begin your descent, the golden shoreline could make you believe you were above a Greek Island. The wondrous beauty is beaten only by the lush climate that soothes your body. I never knew England would feel like a tropical paradise. But it can. And it does. Here are some other reasons why Cornwall should be your summer holiday destination.
For the Adventurer
Are you ready for some excitement in your life? Then Cornwall is the place to be. It is the surfing capital of the UK with waves that can rival any surfing experience. If you do not know how to surf, why not take up some lessons. The thrill is invigorating even if you do fall off once or twice.
Or, how about an aerial view of the world? Take a hot air balloon ride into the clouds and touch heaven. No, seriously. Experts believe that every time you ride in a hot air balloon you add a year to your life. This is because the feeling you get, the tranquility is impossible to beat. What better way to see Cornwall than from the skies.
Fear of heights? Not to worry. Go down to the Quay and rent a boat for the day. View Britain from an entirely new perspectives on clear blue waters. You could even drop anchor and take a dip if you wish.
For The Lazy Boy or Girl
Are you looking for some rest and relaxation this summer? Then you are in for a real treat. Cornwall has got some of the best hotels in the world like The Old Bridge House. Get that quaint, traditional quality that only Britain can give. And where better to relax, then on some of the most beautiful beaches you could find. Just look at the picture below.
Now imagine yourself lying on that golden sand watching those crazy surfers ride the waves. Have I convinced you yet? How about exploring ancient history with your family?
