The Aintree Grand National kicked off on Thursday and racegoers dared to bare despite cold temperatures.
Women donned their best looks for the glamorous day, wearing towering heels and plunging necklines.
More than 150,000 guests are expected at the three-day event in Liverpool, which celebrates 180 years in 2019.
It was a colourful event as women wore every colour of the rainbow, using newspapers and rain ponchos to protect them from the wind and rain.
Dresses varied in style with one woman arriving in a red floor-length dress while others opted for shorter styles.
There was no distinct trend on the day as guests wore everything from demure looks to more thrilling ensembles.
One popular feature for most women were a pair of nude heels, which were spotted multiple times.
