Bear, Lion And Tiger Brothers Haven’t Gone Away From Each Other For 15 Years

Friendship is the most powerful relationship we develop during our lifetime. True friendships only remain through qualities such as love, care and respect. Friendship helps us grow. And also it makes us more powerful to withstand any type of discomfort.

Friends are the ones whom we chose as our family though they aren’t tied in our destinies by blood. Even though we meet different kinds of people in our life our besties remain by our sideforever. They will never leave us.

Likewise was the relationship of the three Leo the lion, Baloo the bear and Shere Khan the tiger. They were residing at the Noah’s Ark Animal Shelter in Georgia with each other for about two decades.

These three were rescued during a police drug raid in 2001. The trio was found in the basement in a house in Atlanta. These poor animals were subjected to serious animal abuse and caged in the basement in critical conditions. All three were less than 1 year at the time.

Three of the poor animals were malnourished, frightened and carrying external as well as internal parasites. Leo the lion cub then was found with an infected wound on his nose. The wound was caused by being confined to a small crate.

Baloo was the one in a critical condition among all the three. The harness was severely growing deep into his flesh, as it was never removed since the beginning. Therefore, he was hospitalized for a surgery after the rescue.

The time they were hospitalized was the only time they were seperated. Since then they have been enjoying their time together as one family.

NAAS made a decision not to release them into the wild as they had severe injuries. So that the three besties remained with each other at the same sanctuary in the same quarters.

The three always eat, sleep and play together. And also they never forget to comfort each other, and give each other kisses.

Allison Hedgecoth, the NAAS curator says that the strength of their relationship has never changed with time and “all three are still equally affectionate with one another.”

In addition to that, she says:

“Shere Khan has always been mischievous, and even though he is getting older this hasn’t changed him one bit.”

But, now as they are entering their golden years, the three have slowed down a bit. Still, they’re enjoying their lives with their company.

Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit educational sanctuary which is the home for farm and exotic animals. They rehabilitate a lot of animals per year and take care of more than 1500 poor animals in different groups under their Wildlife rehabilitation Program.

The three Leo the lion, Baloo the bear and Shere Khan the tiger were residing together for almost two decades at Noah’s Ark Animal Shelter in Georgia

The three poor animals or the BLT, was found during a police raid in the basement of a house in Atlanta in 2001

They were frightened due to the horrible conditions

Baloo was hospitalized for a surgery to remove an ingrowing harness that hadn’t been loosened as he’d grown

The time in the hospital was the only time the three were separated

Since then, the three has spent their whole life together

They are very happy with their life at Noah’s Ark Animal Shelter in Georgia

They weren’t released back to the wild as they had severe injuries earlier

It seems as if they are enjoying their life at the sanctuary!

Leo is an African Lion, Shere Khan is a Bengal Tiger and Baloo is an American Black Bear

If they were in wild, they would have never met as they originate from three totally different continents

The three friends are inseparable despite all their differences

The lives of the three besties are now full of energy as they enjoy each other’s company, and no one could believe that they started life in a terrible way
