Photographer Captures People And Their Bedrooms To Show Their Different Ways Of Living
Photographer Barbara Peacock traverses the United States taking pictures of people and their bedrooms to highlight the various lifestyles they lead.
The bedroom is likely the most private and intimate setting where one may truly be themselves. It is where we begin and finish the day and a place to unwind from the outer world. Perhaps this is why seeing into other people’s bedrooms is so fascinating. In a way, it’s like getting to know their true characters.
Photographer Barbara Peacock traverses the USA to shoot personal and anthropological photographs of typical Americans in their bedrooms because she is fascinated by and enthusiastic about the “poetic resonance of commonplace topics.” These images are a part of the “American Bedroom” project, which exhibits the wide range of habitations and lifestyles that make up the American experience.
